IMA’s 20th Annual Salary Survey
Despite the economic crisis, IMA’s 20th Annual Salary survey indicates that professionals holding IMA’s CMA certification have greater earning power – 24% higher in salary and 31% higher in total compensation – than their noncertified colleagues. These findings appear in the June 2009 issue of IMA’s

IMA Committees' Response to SEC Roadmap for IFRS use by U.S. Companies
IMA’s Financial Reporting and Small Business Committees submitted comment letters to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in response to its proposed roadmap for the use of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by U.S. Companies. Comments were due on April 20, 2009.

COSO Elects New Chairman

The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) of the Treadway Commission has elected David L. Landsittel, CPA as its new chairman. Jeff Thomson, IMA’s President and CEO, took the lead in the organization’s search for the Chairman’s position.

  • Kasunic Award: Presented to the chapter that that is the runner-up to the President's Award.

  • Stevenson Trophy: Presented to the chapter with the highest final standings in the Stevenson Division.

  • Remington Rand Award: Presented to the chapter with the second highest final standing in the Stevenson Division.

  • Stuart Cameron McLeod Society Trophy: Presented to the chapter with the third highest final standing in the Stevenson Division.

  • Carter Trophy: Presented to the chapter making the most improvement in the Stevenson Division standings on an average of three previous years competition.

  • Public Relations Recognition Award: Presented to the top 5 chapters for the in public relations activities.

  • Chapter Competition Banners: Presented to the top 25 chapters in competition in the Stevenson Division.

  • ICMA Regent's Award:  Presented to the top 5 Chapters with the best records of certification achievement.

  • S. Alden Pendleton Award: Presented to the chapter in recognition of the greatest achievement in community service programs.
