President -Sudha Chadalavada, CPA, CFE Sudha has over fifteen years of experience in accounting and finance. Sudha also has served on the board's several non-profit educational associations including IMA Silicon Valley Chapter, IIA San Jose Chapter, and ISACA Silicon Valley Chapter aswell as a club and district officer of Toastmasters' International. During her tenure at at Silicon Valley Chapter of ISACA, Sudha conducted three major bay area conferences, the joint conference with IIA and winter conference of the chapter are still going strong year after year. During her presidency at Silicon Valley Chapter of IMA, Sudha conducted a multi-organizational, multi-track conference "Knowledge Synergized 2009" with a unique vision to bring together professional of various backgrounds and interest to a common platform, that drew over 150 attendees per day established itself strongly in the accounting and finance community. Sudha's vision for the chapter is to establish sustainable longstanding initiatives following the traditions of the Peninsula Palo Alto chapter. Sudha is equally enthusiastic about her positive and supportive team at the chapter leadership along with her role at the chapter.

Secretary-Nicole Sheets, CPA Nicole has lived in the Bay Area for almost twenty years after growing up in the Los Angeles area. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with the emphasis in Accounting moved to the Bay Area. Nicole is a CPA currently working as an independent contractor doing work as accountant, bookkeeper. She is also a Notary Public as well as a certified Tax Preparer. She has six years of experience as an Internal Auditor for First American Title where she was involved with SOX compliance. Nicole has also acquired a variety of general accounting experience through 10+ years of various jobs. She has attended the IMA chapter meetings for over six months and recently became a member. Currently studying and preparing for the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) exam through IIA and hope to one day study for the CMA. She finished her first half-marathon last year and plans to complete her first marathon at the end of this year.

Treasurer-Patricia Huang, MBA Patricia has been a member of the IMA, Peninsula-Palo Alto Chapter since 1994. This is the first year Patricia is joining the board of the Palo Alto Chapter of IMA. She had a broad experience in various aspects of corporate financial management. She worked in high tech industry, such as Raychem and Applied Materials; she also worked in regional banks industry, such as Silicon Valley Bank. She has extensive experience in accounting and financial analysis; good exposure of SOX compliance, process reengineering and ERP implementation. Patricia lives in Cupertino and enjoys hiking and traveling. Patricia has an MBA, Santa Clara University and BS in Economics, Soo Chow University.

Director of Academics & Student Matters - Mikhail Perekhodnik, CMA Currently Mikhail is the Corporate Controller for the Carr & Ferrell LLP. In this capacity he is responsible for managing and directing the accounting group. He reports and interprets all financial and operational data and reporting to the partners. He also recruits and provides initial training for all accounting functions at Carr & Ferrell LLP and ensures adequate internal control. Prior to joining Carr & Ferrell LLP Mikhail was a Senior Director of Accounting and Finance at Worldwide Clinical Trials, Inc. from August 2006 through April 2009. While there he was responsible for management of accounting and finance group of 30 for the multi-national subsidiary of the multi-national corporation. His duties included all financial reporting, consolidations, cash flow and operational forecasting, project costing, and profitability analysis. He has experience in the following industries: Legal, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Wholesale and Distribution, Construction, and Non-Profit. He has specialization in the general ledger accounting and internal reporting and analysis. He also has experience in managing and directing accounting departments and employee development and training. Mikhail graduated with BBA from Davenport University in 1999 with a major in accounting. He graduated with MBA from Walsh College in 2001 with a concentration in Finance. Mikhail is a Certified Management Accountant. He is a member of the IMA.

Director Certification - Haiyan Hu MBA, CIA Haiyan has over 10 years of experience in the US and China, working in both professional consulting services firms and industry, and has led projects in the US, UK, France, Netherlands, Mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, and India. Haiyan has extensive experience working with clients from Technology, Health Care & Life Sciences, and Financial Services industries. She was the project leader for multiple Fortune 500 companies like Qualcomm, Novartis, Gilead Sciences and Visa, etc. Haiyan has a MBA from Washington University and BS in Economics from UIBE.

Director of Marketing - Jane Chik, CPA Jane is currently holding the controllership and senior financial management position in a medical device start-up company. Jane has over 15 years accounting management experience in high tech public companies and 4 years 'Big 4' public accounting experience at Deliotte & Touche. She has held progressively financial management positions in successful Fortune 500 companies and assistant controllership position in high-tech public company. Her broad accounting and financial management experience includes general accounting , revenue accounting, international consolidations, division controllership, cost accounting, FP&A, coupled with strong technical accounting of US GAAP, SOX compliance and experience in developing accounting policies and procedures. She is a high achiever, a strong believer and a key driver for process improvement. Jane has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and a Master degree in Accountancy. Both degrees graduated with honors.She is a member of IMA,Penisula-Palo Alto Chapter and also a member of Ascend Pan-Asian Leadership Organization.Jane enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and modern arts.

Director of Membership - Dave Osburn, CPA, MBA Dave has been a member of the IMA, Peninsula-Palo Chapter, since 1987. Dave is currently Director of Compliance at The Resultants, Inc., a Sarbanes-Oxley and internal audit consulting firm. Dave's career has focused on Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Financial Planning & Analysis, financial systems administration and process improvement. Dave spent the first thirteen years of his career in public accounting at a variety of firms, including Grant Thornton. While in public accounting Dave performed and supervised audits, did tax returns, litigation support and consulting. Then over a decade ago Dave transitioned into corporate finance working in both the medical device industry (Accuray,Inc and LifeScan) and in the telecommunications industry (Siemens). He lives with his wife in San Jose and both are native to California. Dave enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and taking local weekend trips. Dave is also a volunteer in other non-profit organizations, such as CSIX Connect. Additionally, Dave's hobby for many years has been collecting small decorative frogs, especially whimsical ones.

Director of Professional Education - Alan Gazaway, CPA, MBA, BSEE Alan worked in diverse fields before finding his passion in financial management. He joined Brocade in 2008 where he has worked in FP&A, Revenue Recognition, and currently in Internal Audit. Before this, he served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer, managed a R&D lab for the US Navy, and owned a small business providing engineering and custom-designed solutions to the government and military for physical security. He is learning Spanish and eagerly looking forward to taking the chapter's CMA Program.
