IMA Announces 2010-2011 Chair-Elect
IMA is pleased to announce Brian L. McGuire, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, CBM, CITP as Chair-Elect for IMA's fiscal 2010-2011 period (July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011).

March 11, 2010: Institute of Management Accountants Announces 91st Annual Conference & Exposition in Baltimore.

ICMA is now accepting registrations for Parts 1 and 2 of the new two-part CMA exam program and the Transition Exam.

On November 24, 2009, ICMA announced a change to the format and curriculum of the CMA exam program, beginning May 1, 2010.

Lesson 1: Introduction DVD Chapter 1: Introduction and Main Menu (10 minutes) Welcome and introduction of the course to participants.
Course objectives are reviewed.
Part 1: Learning the Facts Part 1: Learning the Facts
DVD Chapters 2 thru 10: IMA Statement of Ethical Professional Practice (30 minutes) Review of the overarching Principles (honesty, fairness, objectivity, and responsibility), the Standards (competence,confidentiality, integrity, and credibility) and the resolution of ethical conflict.

Activity: Statement of Ethical Professional Practice Crosswords(15 minutes)

Key learning points are reinforced through a crossword puzzle activity.

Part 2: Applying the facts Part 2: Applying the facts
DVD Chapters 11 thru 12: The Acquisition of InfoCom (15 minutes) Participants are introduced to key employees of a fictitious company called InfoCom. Company background and individual profiles are provided to establish the context of the story. Following this introduction, participants view a short video that tells the story of the -Acquisition of InfoCom.
DVD chapters 13 thru 17/Group Discussion: A Closer Look (110 minutes) Participants are challenged to consider ways in which each of the four Standards applies to the situation at InfoCom. Select Scenes from video help facilitate group discussions. The focus of this section is on the exploration of the impact of ethics on a corporation as a whole. Group discussion, exploration, and expansion of the content are the primary means of reinforcement.
Activity: Resolving InfoCom Delimma (30 minutes)
Small groups meet to explore various perspectives and approaches to resolving InfoCom ethical conflict
